Herd of Fallow Deer in Grasses.png

The Chilterns are a landscape written in chalk and beech, shaped by centuries of farming and forestry. Today, deer are as much a part of these hills as the red kite overhead or the bluebells in May. Their presence enriches the countryside, but it also demands balance.

Chiltern Deer exists to offer practical, responsible management solutions for landowners and communities.

Deer management is not the end of wildness, rather its safeguard. Healthy populations, thriving woodland, sustainable farmland, these are the aims, part of a wider responsibility to care for the Chiltern Hills.
